AT&T Stadium — detail of the artwork
★ Stadiums of America ★

A roof that opens, two giant arches, and a record basketball crowd

Arlington, Texas, sits between Dallas and Fort Worth, and since 2009 it has been home to the Dallas Cowboys. The stadium opened on May 27, 2009, as Cowboys Stadium and took the name AT&T Stadium in 2013.

Two arches nearly 300 feet tall run the length of the building, and between them sits a retractable roof. Two video boards hang over the field, each 160 feet wide and 72 feet tall. The stadium seats 80,000 and can hold more than 100,000 with standing room.

It has also hosted crowds well beyond football. On February 14, 2010, an announced 108,713 people watched the NBA All-Star Game there, the largest crowd ever recorded for a basketball game. On February 6, 2011, it staged Super Bowl XLV, which Green Bay won over Pittsburgh, 31–25.

The print draws the stadium from straight overhead, in the manner of an architect's site plan. The oval bowl is rendered in soft gray, the two arches cross it as thin blue-lit lines, and the field sits at the center in a small navy-ringed rectangle. Plazas and parking lots fade out faintly around the edges, and the title is set in navy capitals on a cream ground.

Important time to show support for our country

My office has slowly turned into an American museum. I started with the Iwo Jima painting, but now I've got a full wall of historical American posters. Quality is great and easy to hang.
