About The Civil War
The Civil War collection follows the war from Fort Sumter to Appomattox: the bayonet charge of the 20th Maine at Little Round Top, Pickett's men crossing the field at Gettysburg, the cornfield at Antietam, the Monitor and the Virginia at Hampton Roads, and the quiet room where Grant and Lee finally sat down. Alongside the battles are portraits of the men who fought it and the president who saw it through.
The paintings are in the manner of the great nineteenth-century military artists, with the smoke, mud and low light of the period rather than a tidy textbook view. They suit a study, a library wall or a hallway where a piece can be read up close.
Every piece is offered as a framed print behind shatter-resistant acrylic, and many also as a gallery-wrapped canvas, an unframed poster or a brushed aluminum panel, in sizes from 12x18 up to 28x40 inches. Each order is made to order, printed and framed in the USA and shipped free to all 50 states with tracking. If it arrives damaged, send a photo within seven days and we reprint or refund it in full.
